A lot of people really like my XReader stories and some people have even asked me to read their stories and to give advice on how to improve or asked me how I make such good XReader stories. So I decided to make this journal to give the few tips I can, I'm no expert and my stories are nowhere near perfection or anything of that sort. These are just the few tips I would give anyone who is interested in writing or does write XReader insert stories.
(THIS IS JUST MY OPINION)
Alrighty then~
1. Be descriptive. XReader stories are nice when they are short and cute. I will use a lousy salad comparison. When you write a story with the characters and make them fall in love, it is cute and like a salad. You just have what is needed but when you add in a lot of description- it is like adding salad dressing, tomatoes, and cucumbers. A salad is usually better when there is more in it, depending on a person's preferences. I usually like a story more when there is a lot of description and I can imagine what is happening or the scene. But some peple might just like it simple without too much description.
2.Which ever character you are using from the anime, show, or book- keep them in character! When someone likes a character it is usually because of looks and personality, not just the looks. So when writing a XReader story, make sure the characters are pretty close to their usual personality- I personally don't tend to like stories that have characters that I usually love that don't act like themselves.
3. Space out your story.- this is a constant issue with me. I can write stories, but I can never seem to space it out enough. Do better than me! Space it out so that the readers don't have a hard time reading it or keeping their place.
4. Use good grammer. No one is perfect, I know that. I am not the best writer and I can make a lot of mistakes, which I will fix if some one points it out. Just try not to make so many errors that it distracts from the story or confuses the reader.
5. Try to use characters you know. I tend to find that XReader stories for characters I don't know that well usually don't turn out as good as other stories. There is nothing wrong with trying out new characters, just try to find out as much as you can about them before you write the story then. Just because if you know the character more, usually you have an easier time keeping them in character and coming up with a story line that would fit them.
6. Never force a story. If you are trying to come up with a XReader story with a specific character and just can't think of a story line no matter what, don't force the idea. I can compare it to cosplaying for you cosplay people out there. When you can't think of a good skit for a cosplay video, and you try to force an idea out in order to make a video- it won't turn out how you want it to and usually won't be as good as your other videos or skits. It's the same way for writing, if you can't think of a good idea that you would want to write about, don't force it. If you can't think of a story line for a character, skip it and move on to the next story you want to write.
7. Anyone could write an XReader. You don't have to be a particularly talented writer. As long as you like to write, you can write whatever you want. As long as you can think of a story line and character you'd like to write about, you can do it. There is nothing wrong with trying to write an XReader story, you can at least try it once and if you don't like it- you can stop. It won't be perfect on your first try but as you keep writing and practice your writing and stories will improve. Also, it doesn't matter if not many people like your story, I feel that as long as you like it and as long as you are proud of it that you should put it up. What is important is that you like your work.
8. Take your time, don't rush when writing either. Everyone is different and may be busy due to work or school, etc. And sometimes people like your stories so much that they will want more quite quickly. Still, one should take their time so that they can do their best and be proud of a story they write. Also, if you rush you might not notice a lot of mistakes you make or you just might not be proud of the rushed story.
9. Be creative. Don't be afraid to let your creative juices flow. A story that you write that you may think is crazy and out there, may seem very good to others. Different stories are always nice and refreshing.
10. Translate. If you have characters talking in a different language, put translations in the description or in the bottom of the story. Some people may not speak German, French, etc. So they won't know what the character is saying, so it is usually appericiated if translations are placed in the story.
Hmm, I think that is all of the advice I could give you guys off the top of my head. I hope this helps anyone who needed it and that maybe it inspires more of you guys to write.

First time I've been on in months
Wow guys, it has literally been forever. I haven't been on DeviantART or written anything for this site in months. Though, it did see me smile when I came back with an overwhelming amount of notifications- a lot of them favorites for my stories and others asking for continuations for other ones. Just a lot of support through comments and favorites. Each and every one of them made me smile and I appreciate all of them. Thank you all!!! <3 I've been really busy with college and just life lately, BUT if you guys are still interested - At the very least I will finish the TahnoXReader story. So just let me know if you guys would like that. If n
I've been extremely absent
Wow, I never intended to be this inactive for so long. I'm sorry guys, I really don't know what to say. I haven't come on here since the secret santa back in December. Thank you for the continued support despite my lack of XReader stories lately. Honestly, I've just had a rack lack of creativity and inspiration for writing, I've been doing a lot of drawing lately but I don't upload those onto here because I'm not very good haha. Plus another semester of college has come around so I am trying to get into the routine of my new schedule. All I can say is sorry, sorry sorry.
I love writing, I really do but I just haven't felt inspired to do it l
Korrasami is canon
The co-creators of LOK have confirmed the pairing on tumblr and I just thought it was absolutely awesome and cool. Represent. :D Note, I know not everyone agrees with the pairing and everyone has their own opinion but I am personally all for it <3

DAT TAHNO
My goodness, I have watched and rewatched the finale of The Legend of Korra at least 6 times today and I find myself grinning every single time. This show was amazing and I thought the ending was absolutely stunning, intense, epic, and lovely. Tahno even got a bit of a longer part in the final episode, still very little screen time but what little screen time he had was absolutely fabulous and had me squealing like a fool. I don't usually squeal but damn I squealed so much during the finale. Don't want to say too much just in case someone hasn't see it yet but all I've got to say is DAT TAHNO <3
